Travelling Cebu

Being one of the most developed provinces in Philippines, what does Cebu have to offer?
Little did you know, Cebu is very rich in history and along with the beautiful waterfalls it is the perfect place for a wonderful getaway.
Here are some of the things you can do/see when you go to Cebu! (based on my own experience)

1. Waterfalls

Above are the 2 really popular waterfalls in Cebu, Tumalog Falls and Kawasan Falls respectively. Both waterfalls had really pretty blue emerald waters! For all the instagrammers, this is the place for you *winks*
Tumalog was pretty chill and not as happening as Kawasan Falls. I said that because I decided to do canyoneering at Kawasan which I almost died but wow, what an experience.
The whole canyoneering adventure lasted for about 3 hours and what we did was to hike, cliff jump, hike, cliff jump. And of course admire the beauty of nature in the wilderness. It cost about 1,500 pesos (SGD $40), along with a private guide, pretty worth it in my opinion!

2. Historical Sites

(Basilica Del Santo Nino, Fort San Pedro, Mueso Sugbo)
Do visit these sites for alluringly beautiful architecture! Also, you will definitely gain more knowledge on the history of Cebu.

3. Island Hopping

The only two islands I visited are MoalBoal and Sumilon Island.
At Moalboal, we did a lot of snorkeling while at Sumilon, we just self explored ourselves and took a lot of pictures.

4. Whalesharks Watching

To be honest, I would say that the whole whalesharks watching thing is really quite over rated. Don't get me wrong, it's very interesting to be seeing a magnificent mammal swimming just right in front of you but, the whole atmosphere was just too touristy and over crowded to be even enjoying the moment. It was a great experience though!

5. Views

Up in the hill, just a convenient 30 minutes away from the central city, lies a beautifully built temple called the Temple of Leah. The temple was in tribute to a man's undying love for his wife. Although it isn't fully built yet, the architecture is already very impressive. There, you can take a look at Cebu city from above too.

Yeah, so that's kinda all I wanna share about this amazing place. 10/10 will go back to the Philippines but probably the Palawan (El Nido) this time! Oh yea, not forgetting about the Filipino's hospitality (A1!!!!) they are mostly very friendly and helpful which I really like.

Hope this post kinda helps! With that,

Take care & safe travels!
